7/10/08 output-various lullabying ladies
as i sit this afternoon my friend S's sweet words are letting me miss freely.
S is helping me this afternoon to long a little more, and miss a little more. S is helping me remember the great impact we have on one another. S is helping me halt briefly my usual focus forward. i am too good too often at casting gazes ahead, only.
S sends me words regularly. leaves quick and shining with love voice mails, often enough to keep me knowing that i too am missed. and loved. and remembered. like flashes of light that sparkle in the peripheral signaling something special, S keeps my remembering view finder wide and expansive.

yesterday a client and i talk over bangs and fringes about how deep our impact on one another runs. so deep, it does.
i figure, it's not really ours to know necessarily the color, or shape, or tone of our impact on each other. the job is, KNOW the impact is real. our job is to know that we leave tiny particles of all of ourselves floating in the air in our wake. if we could see them we might think a second longer about what we leave behind of ourselves. tiny invisible swirling us-dust inhaled and brushed over by everyone.
output is ours to extend, and release, and color, only. we are not always, and not often, privy to it's inevitable impact.
makes me think of these awesome words D shared with me the other night-
"there is a vitality, a life force, an energy, a quickening that is translated through you into action, and because there is only one of you in all time, this expression is unique. and if you block it, it will never exist through any other medium and it will be lost. the world will not have it. it is not your business to determine how good it is nor how valuable nor how it compares with other expressions. it is your business to keep it yours clearly and directly, to keep the channel open."
